Circulation of papers
Owing to the interdisciplinary nature of our conference and the fact that some disciplines do not practice prior circulation of papers, there is no need to submit a full paper before the conference. Nevertheless, you are very welcome to circulate your paper among the participants of your panel before the presentation.
Please note that your presentation must not be longer than 15 minutes so that everybody on your panel has enough time to present and there is enough time for questions.
We are pleased to announce the publication call for papers. Participants are invited to submit revised versions of their conference papers to be considered for inclusion in the conference publication.
The volume will be published in the UCL SSEES series Studies in Russia and Eastern Europe and produced as an electronic publication available from the UCL Discovery website. Submissions will be subject to an anonymous peer-review process, and the final selection of papers will be based on its outcome.
Papers must be in English and should not exceed 6,000 – 8,000 words in length – including footnotes and any tables – and must adhere to the MHRA style guide, which can be downloaded here. A key feature of the MHRA style guide is that references must be in the form of footnotes only. If you wish to include images in your submission, you must ensure that they are attributed correctly and that you have the appropriate permissions.
Please send your submission to firstname.lastname@example.org. Your submission must be received by 1 July 2014; submissions received after this date will not be considered.
N.B.: You are only eligible to submit a paper if you presented it at the conference.
